- Sir Kirkwall reported on the Glenkinchie Distillery Manor. He mentioned the large crowd of attendees and the Danish guests of honour: Karsten, Hana and Freda. A good tour all round. After the distillery, Knights popped to Port Seton at the invitation of Sir Row-an-lea where food and drink were the order of the day and Karston and another Manor guest (Bob Gusthard) were made honourary members of the Edinburgh Cape Society with respective pseudonyms Glenkinchie and Linkfield. It was mentioned Sir Brougham donated a bottle of 12 year old Glenkinchie to the quaiche. Sir Pilrig, a veteran of many distillery visits, remarked it was one of the best sample rooms he had seen.
