Wed 28 Sep 2011: Fergusson Pilgrimage; The annual visit to Robert Fergusson's grave around the anniversary of his death.; Meet at the Tolbooth Tavern between 7 and 7.30pm. We'll head into the Cannongate Kirkyard at 8pm.

Report: Sir Meadows reported on the annual pilgrimage to the grave of Robert Fergusson, Sir Precentor. A good turnout of Knights met in the Tolbooth Tavern before making their way to the Cannongate Kirkyard where the customary tipple was dispatched over Sir Precentor's resting place. It was noted that the �Friends of Robert Fergusson� had also visited the grave. The headstone was paid for by Robert Burns and subsequent upkeep was funded by Robert Louis Stevenson. Sir N. Leith read Robert Fergusson�s poem Auld Reekie from an old poetry supplied by Sir Prestonpans. Thereafter, Knights made their way up to the White Horse, a former Cape Hall which has recently been upgraded. However, the back room was still available and Knights recalled Cape meetings held there in the past. Next stop was the Tass where a large group of folk musicians were playing. Finally Knights made their way to The Waverley bar where time stands still.
