Fri 4 Jan 2013: Happy New Year; The January informal meeting will be a chance to wish Companion Knights Happy New Year.; Meet in Cameo Bar, Leith any time between 7:30 and 8pm. Guests welcome.

Report: Six Knights and three guests met in the Cameo Bar in Leith to wish each other Happy New Year! Derry and Anne arrived first, closely followed by Steve who failed to explore the full extent of the pub and discover Derry and Anne occupying the 'private dance' area (a small alcove with potential to be secluded with a curtain). :) He was in place at the front bar to greet Colin, Derran and Martin as they arrived before Derry was spotted at the upstairs bar and all of the party tried to squeeze in to the alcove. Knights decided to decant to tables right at the back of the pub, as guest Kevin arrived while they were settling down in the alcove. Kevin was soon followed by Neil and Doreen, friend of Derry, Anne and The Cape. There was a lot of convivial chat up until closing time when Derry, Anne and Doreen headed home and the rest of the party (in hindsight, regretfully), headed to Steve's house. The less said about the after pub party at Steve's the better. The music... The singing... The shouting PAAARRTTEEEEEE!!! The bras... Suffice to say, The Cape Naughty Needle strayed well past 'convivial' and was marching on to 'riotous' before the party finally succumbed to stupor around 4 a.m. Well done and thanks to everyone who made the effort to attend.
