The October Manor is the traditional, annual Turtle Feast.
Meet in the Royal Over-seas League at 7p.m. Guests welcome.

  • Knights late! New faces
  • Grace – Auld Kirk
  • Cape, Grand Cape & the Turtle – Row-an-Lea
  • Address to turtle – Brougham – guitar version
  • Meal, soup or smoked salmon – sea bass or pheasant breast – sweet or oat cakes & cheese - coffee
  • Meal - (disappointing!) beer pouring pantomime, inconsistent bar prices, wilted flowers on the table.
  • Absent Knights – Pentland (Sir Sheils passing)
  • Toast to the guests – Gosford
  • Reply – Kirks guest, Tom Christeans, Belgium / Flemmish comparisons
  • McGonagall – Kirk
  • Raffle – superb prizes donated – single grain malt star prize
  • Toast to the M.W.G.S. - Napier
  • M.W.G.S. reply and report – M.W.G.S. Pilrig
  • Gratuity to staff – Sir Venerable
  • Auld Lang Syne
  • Paying for meal, unexpected additional £40 drinks!
  • General chaos ensued, manger brought singing and piano playing to a close circa 1:00
Service, food and a few other things outwith the society's control aside!, this was another successful, fun and memorable evening.
