Fergusson Pilgrimage
The traditional, annual visit to the grave of Cape Club member, Robert Fergusson, where we devote a wee dram to his memory. Feel free to bring some Fergusson-related chat with you to impart around the graveside. Note this Manor coincides with the Grand Cape meeting.
Meet in the Tolbooth Tavern any time between 19:30 and 20:00. We'll head into the Canongate Kirkyard at 20:00. Guests welcome.

Colin, Dave, Martin and Steve met in the Royal Mile's Tolbooth Tavern for a pint before heading in to Canongate Kirkyard. There was a quick stop on the way for a group photo including Fergusson! (The quality is a bit poor as Steve only had his phone camera available.) In the kirkyard, the customary whisky tipple, supplied by Colin, was poured over the grave to a reading, by Steve, of Fergusson's poem 'The Author's Life'. All very short and sweet. Knights continued down the Royal Mile as far as the Kilderkin pub where the Grand Cape meeting was held. All Hail Fergusson! (The daylight picture was taken a few days later as Steve wandered Edinburgh with Nick on Doors Open Day.)
