Informal Meeting (Happy New Year)
Our traditional January informal meeting should be a convivial gathering of Knights and guests in an Auld Reikie tavern. Let's try this out and see how it goes.
Meet in the Victoria Park Hotel, Ferry Road at 19.30.

The original and let us suppose traditional suggestion of being bon vivants in the Malt & Hops was fittingly overridden by chance, following a trip by Colin to the Victoria Park Hotel (VPH) to collect the suitcase of Cape regalia, which in turn followed the sad news it was finally shifting its business to a house of multiple occupancy (HMO). Colin was informed the last night of pub-life in the hotel would coincide with the chosen evening of Cape's annual informal meeting, so, it was decided to go along to the VPH to say a fond farewell. There were stories of finishing off casks and spirits at any number of discount prices ranging from free to 10 per cent but, sadly, these failed to ring true. Never mind, there was the trusty Gosford Bar discount card. A few of the usual suspects were joined by Anne, Helen, Kirsty and 'other' Colin. It was great to catch up with them all. The evening was wiled away with typical Cape conviviality and a few of the staff even popped in to say, "cheerio". Farewell VPH; you've been a good friend. The search is on for a new Cape Hall.
