Constitution Street Manor
Knights and guests are invited for a summers stroll down Constitution Street, taking in some historical sights and traditional bars.
Please meet in Wetherspoons (The Foot of The Walk) at foot of the walk at 19:00.

Martin, Phil, Colin and Steve met in the Foot o' the Walk before embarking on a tour of Constitution Street, its pirates, churches, conflagrated buildings, former Post Office, Town Hall, Exchange Buildings, Leith Chamber of Commerce and pubs. One notable recounted event (the fire at offices of the Lawson Donaldson Seeds) happened when at least two Knights were at school in Leith (1978). Others included the findings of recent tram-work excavation, including many skeletons connected with the nearby South Leith Parish Church; a look at Our Lady, Star of the Sea and the seemingly neglected 'building site' opposite (rear of St James Scottish Episcopal Church); Coatfield Lane, where Sir North Leith lived as he was growing up and the Port o' Leith pub. Knights wound up the excellent tour at The Malt 'n' Hops, missing the "Old Ship", mentioned in Fergusson's poem, "Good Eating".
