Report
Dave, Carol, Carsten, Dez, Mark, Martin and Steve were hosted by Colin who showed Knights and guest around the Canongate and Market Street areas, looking at the results of some of the recent development work which has gone on. After meeting in the Canons' Gait, Knights and guest wandered down New Street and along East Market Street, taking in some of the new sights on offer before heading up Jeffrey Street, bound for the White Horse pub. Unfortunately, the White Horse was closed so it was straight in to the newly re-opened and considerately and sympathetically renovated The Waverley bar: many of its features have been retained. Here, the assembled company were treated to a little fiddle music before heading upstairs to one of the first venues to host Billy Connolly during his time with Gerry Rafferty and The Humblebums. Congratulations were given to Dave on his retirement and to Colin for conducting the Manor. Special thanks to Carsten who was all the way from Denmark... And was pleased to share his whisky. The less said about the high-jinks of Knights hitching collie buckies from Sir Precentor the better. The webmaster has saved a certain Knights' blushes by omitting the photographic evidence from the official Cape website. Those of you who are members of the Farcebook group will know exactly what went on.

Thanks to everyone who supported the Cape Manor by attending.
