Stirling
The Cape travels to Stirling for an insight in to this city's history, a search for 'Cape Connections' and, of course, some conviviality.
Meet at Steve's pad at 2 p.m. We'll leave by 2.30 p.m. Guests welcome.

Terry and Rob were first to arrive at Steve's, closely followed by the crew who travelled from Edinburgh in Colin's car: Phil, Martin and Dez. Knights were treated to a short promotional video before the party headed out on to the streets of Stirling and along the banks of the river Forth towards Cambuskenneth and an insight in to some of the abbey's history. From there, it was back along the same route towards Stirling Bridge where Steve recounted some of the exploits of Wallace and Moray in battle. From there, Knights put a little in their bellies courtesy of Baynes bakers before climbing up the side of Gowan hill and appearing at the door of the Settle Inn. A quick pint, then past Mar's Wark, Argyll House and on to the castle esplanade to enjoy great views across the Forth valley before another libation in the Portcullis: plenty of historical chat all the way. Up until this point, the weather had been very generous but luck turned and the rain came down. There was a quick visit to Holy Rude, Cowane House and one of the oldest bowling green's in Scotland. Knights were joined by guests James and Malc in Nicky Tams for a few drinks before a photo opportunity outside North Leith's favourite ale house, Claymores (now a closed gin bar). Then it was on to Cape bar, the Rob Roy statue, the chippy, Port and Customs and Morrisons before swally-ing back to Steve's for a night cap. Knights were up early for bacon, egg, sliced sausage rolls and a morning dusting off cobwebs before fond farewells.
