Fergusson Pilgrimage

The Cape Society pays its respects to and remembers a Companion Knight of the Cape Club who, one might argue, most closely embodied the most valued and sought after traits of the Club and the contemporary Society. Sir Precentor, your last wishes for whisky to warm your cooling soul will be met.
Meet at the Toolbooth Tavern between 7.30 and 8 p.m. We'll leave for Fergusson's graveside at 8 p.m. Guests welcome.

The Fergusson Pilgrimage normally follows a very traditional format, as it did this year, the 'out-of-character' aspect of the Manor being two guests added to the company: both writers. The first, Steven already has a few published books including, The Tribes of Glasgow. Sandy is a freelance writer who has written for the Oban Times Knights and guests gathered around the graveside and recited some of Fergusson's poetry before pouring his customary tipple. Knights and guests then adjourned to The Tolbooth Tavern for some conviviality and an opportunity for both writers to discover more about the Cape Club's contemporary incarnation.
