- Turtle Feast
- This year's Turtle Feast will be hosted by the Cape Society's favourite Auld Reikie venue, the Victoria Park Hotel. There'll be conviviality aplenty as well as the usual 'singing', speeches, toasts and who knows what. As normal, the evening's programme will be torn up and discarded shortly in to the night and providence dispensed with. Come along and exercise irreverence.
- Spurtles will be warmed between 19 and 19.30 and soup served sharp at 20.00: don't move like a turtle.

A fantastic turnout of 29 turtle feasters enjoyed a night which
many remarked, "flew by", even though it was after 2 a.m. the following
morning before the last Knights, Ladies and guests left the Victoria
Park Hotel. Feasters were served a delicious meal, including flavour-busting
mock turtle soup. The evening, night and morning went off roughly in line
with the programme with the odd detour to the High-Jinks Inn.

Thanks to everyone who joined Herbert for one of the most memorable and well-attended Turtle Feasts in many years, particularly Sir and Lady Meadows who travelled all the way from Denmark to help manufacture extra fun.
