- Turtle Feast
- No doubt your spurtle is a little on the dusty side, having sat in a drawer for two years. I'm sure Herbert is too. Colin will no doubt dust him off and give him a good polish so he looks his best. It was Colin who put this Feast back on the Cape menu (after a gap-year) and has been instrumental in piecing it back together. Show Cape-character: do likewise and dust off your spurtle for a return to your favourite turtle songs, speeches, toasts, high-jinks and any other nonsense you care to dream up. Worthy Sovereign will be over from Denmark: a great opportunity to dunk yer breid in 'is turtle soup.

Meet in the Village Hotel at the top of Ferry Road between19.00 and 19.3018.30 and 19.00. Please be seated by 19.00. The evening's programme will begin at 19.00, sharp. The meal will be served around 19.30.

Around 23 Knights and guests enjoyed another night hosted by Herbert, the turtle.
There were a few positive comments from some tough critics about the quality of the food, which was good,
as other venues in recent years have fallen flat on this front. The complementary drinks also seemed
to stretch further than the advertised one glass of wine: another positive.
The room decor was very gothic and, as such, a little on the dark side
and a few voices of dissent were heard over Worthy Sovereign's choice
of a horseshoe seating layout. (Others voiced circular tables are better
suited to a sociable and convivial evening.)
Nonetheless, Worthy Sovereign, Derran, did an excellent job of making the evening a success
and keeping everything on track and in order: the programme went off without a hitch.
As normal, towards the end of the evening, there were one or two unprintable stories. Ask the Port Seton crew
about its fun-filled, late-night ride home with Uber.
