Leith Shipbuilding
The Cape Society holds on to the coat-tails of the Leith Historical Society again when Ron Neish waxes lyrical about Leith and its shipbuilding industry. Expect a mention of Great Michael at the very least.
Meet in the Leith Community Centre shortly before 19.00 when the talk will begin. The entry fee is normally £2.

Guests welcome.

Report
Some bright-spark decided a trip to the Scotch Malt Whisky Society was way overdue and persuaded Companion Knights to employ a late change of plan and drop the Leith Historical Society idea at the 11th hour (partly given quite a few Knights had, independently of the Cape Society, attended the previous month's talk on witches). Martin, Steve and Phil, therefore, gamely enjoyed the hospitality of the Leith Vaults whilst sampling a few of its rare and select whiskies. As normal, the evening was very convivial. Ask Martin about his experience with the Central Bar, carboard box thief.

Thanks to the three Knights who attended and toasted former SMWS members North Leith (just after what would've been his 79th birthday) and Glenkinchie, among others. Apologies to anyone who turned up at the Kirkgate Community Centre. Editor's Note: let's face it, no one did.
